Word can not describe this place. It is a must see. As a Christian to go to this and reflect on what is going on in our country today is moving. I was speechless when we left and you know it is sacred ground you can feel it when your there.
The very ground is hallowed and sacred. Monuments provide a history lesson. Don't miss one of Arkansas's largest trees marked with a plaque. In fall, the trees are glorious.
You may well have the place to yourself. Nice to think how peaceful it is considering the horrors or war that filled it. A wonderful place to learn and reflect.
This is a great place for history buffs and a wonderful place to just get some peace and quiet. Need to reflect and be alone? This is the perfect place to come and relax. It is super beautiful in the fall. I lived in Fayetteville almost my whole life, and I loved to occasionally visit this cemetery.
This cemetery is in disrepair and is in dire need of restoration and attention. There are a number of very interesting epitaphs and worth going to see.
How sad to be buried in a grave beneath a stone with no name. It would have been sadder to let these men lie in the fields and ditches where they died.
