I didn't want to leave! So many awesome things to see... the museum, the kivas and pithouses, Chevelon canyon with some of the most amazing petroglyphs I have ever seen, old hogans, pottery, arrowheads, wildlife, and the humble family that runs the place. A history lovers paradise!
The thing that sets the ranch apart is the owner and the fact you will be viewing the petroglyphs and structures without the obnoxious crowds that now dominates a once remote area. I have been coming to this area since before the interstate.....in other words, when Rt. 66 was THE highway. I have watched the red rock area get cheapened... 更多
We spent a half day here learning about the history of the property along with the history of the native Americans who lived here years ago. The first half of the tour presented you with the opportunity to see first hand and close up the pots and tools found on the site along with antiquities of life in a gone... 更多
We were met by our guide, ranch owner Brant, who greeted us warmly and invited us to check out his private museum, which contains ancient pottery, arrowheads, antique furniture, and lots of other memorabilia collected over the years from his ranch. He then led us by car across his 5000 acre ranch to fairly recent Native American dwellings as well... 更多
We are real Native American/Petroglyph 'hounds' and love to trek all over the US is search of sites to explore- have found ourselves in some fantastic places and met some really awesome folks along our way. Brant and his daughter, Teddy, took us out through their property this day and gave us a look into their world and the past... 更多
Rock Art Ranch is amazing. Brantley Baird takes you on a tour of a portion of his 5,000 acre cattle ranch which includes Indian dwellings and hundreds of petroglyphs in the canyon. We were lucky enough to be there while a group of archaeologists were digging for Indian artifacts. Brantley is one of the last remaining real cowboys. He has... 更多
We spent a long afternoon with two of the grandkids here. It is like no place else we have ever been. A beautiful canyon with a clear running stream and petroglyphs covering subjects not found elsewhere. If you are in Arizona make it a point to visit.
I have mixed feelings about writing this public review. The Baird Ranch is a special place and deserves to be kept only for those who can really appreciate it. If you have an interest in history and archeology, then put it in your plans. Otherwise, go visit the more traditional attractions in northern AZ. At Rock Art Ranch you'll have... 更多
If you have a love for rock art this is your place. This privately owned canyon has one of the best collections in the world. They are 4000 to 6000 years old and archaeologist visit often to document and explore the canyon. Mr. Baird's lifelong collection of artifacts found on the ranch is on display in a museum on the... 更多
This is a must see for anyone that enjoys history. Bradley Baird is kind enough to share his ranch and his artifacts collection with all that come. This is a true, real human being that all of us should be like! His wealth of knowledge and what he has to offer is unbelievable. Plan to spend the day. You won't... 更多
