It was a great hike. Challenging but glad we did it. Went all the way up through the saddle. Would not recommend for children or inexperienced hikers.

This one has fast elevation gain after a gentle approach. Switchbacks to the saddle, last 300 ft you will be scrambling with your hands and feet to the top. Terrific 360 degree views.
Whether it's hiking along the desert floor through the cacti or scaling the switchbacks on the way up, this is a great hike. The views on the way up and when you reach the saddle are fantastic. It is challenging however, and I would definitely bring a lunch to enjoy at the top.

West of Phoenix is a small town that reminds you of the 19th century. Surrounded in desert hills, many saguaro cactus, and so much to do! The Ghost tour is interesting, and the Vulture Mountain trail is just right - what a view from the top. You can drive by the old gold mine not sure if tours available now.... 更多
