We were eager to explore this highly-rated park during our recent family vacation. An early morning nature hike was pleasant with the one-mile loop traversing through several types of ecosystems - dune, bog, forest, etc. Parts of the trail were blocked due to localized flooding - signage with instructions for the detour would be helpful.
Grayton Beach State Park is one of the most beautiful white sand beaches you'll ever see! There is a fee to enter, but there are public rest rooms/ changing rooms, drink machines, and bike paths. This is also one of the most isolated beaches around - you will feel like you are the only one around in the fall through... 更多
With many campsites backing up to Western Lake, one of the rare dune lakes, you can't beat camping at this state park. The beach is pristine, the sand white sugar, and on a sunny day the water is turquoise streaked with emerald. We park a 40-ft RV with tow in site 40. Do check if you have a big rig--one... 更多
Our family has camped here and loved it! The beach is awesome and the campground is always clean and neat. You cant go wrong here.
The cabins were okay. Nice screen porch. Two rockers and small table. No fire pit for the cabins just BBQ grill. The shower tile old and slippery. The toilet seat didn't match shape of toilet bowl. While it had vegetation between sites it was still noisy at times from your neighbors. The cabin furniture wasn't comfortable. The bed was comfortable.... 更多
There is an entry fee for this beach, but it allows you to come and go from sunrise to sunset. The people at the service booth are so kind. Paying the 5 or 6 dollars was definitely worth it because the beaches were empty. Beautiful scenery! The best beach we visited on our trip. It's a must go.
Stayed in one of the cabins. Very nice and roomy. Clean and comfy. No TV or phone so very peaceful and relaxing. Half mile walk to the beach via paved road or a nice scenic walking trail through the woods. Beautiful "private" beach.
From out first visit almost thirty years ago to this trip, the park has a lot to offer as it represents the best the Emerald Coast has to offer: great dunes and a wonderful beach. The state has added numerous parks since the 80s but this one stands the test of time and models for the rest of the local... 更多
I was unfamiliar with Coastal Dune lakes until we toured Grayton Beach State Park. The path takes one over the dunes, through a wooded area, that skirts the lake. At the end of the walk, we took the ramp down to the beach which offered one of the most beautiful beach views that I have ever soon. Truly a fascinating,... 更多
