We went to Grayton Beach on a Friday afternoon (July 4th weekend). You pay $5 to get in the park and then you can come and go as you please all day. The beach is so beautiful. I love that it is undeveloped. There is a small building with restrooms and then a little shower area, but other than that,... 更多
We camped here for 2 weeks after staying at Topsail Hill Preserve for 2 weeks, which is only 20 minutes away. Obviously since both are along the same stretch of the gulf the beaches at both parks are absolutely gorgeous, the emerald water & soft sugar sand beaches are stunning! Grayton Beach campground does not have as many campsites but... 更多
Great facility for $5. We visited 2 days in a row on July 4th weekend. Get there early for parking and bring a lunch or go to the Nearby Craft Bar, or Cafe Chanticleer for lunch.Outdoor shower was nice to rinse off sand and algae that was plaguing water. Bathrooms! Hiking was well marked and lovely. Glad we brought a... 更多
We visited Grayton Beach State Park on a very hot June day, so we especially enjoyed its proximity to the Gulf. After setting up our tent in a nicely shaded lot, we walked about a half mile to the beach. We passed beautifully primitive sand dunes on the way, as well as some estuaries in which we searched for alligators... 更多
Nice, clean, well kept park with friendly helpful attendants. We stayed in a back-in rv site with full hook-ups. Good size and level site. The beach access is a good way from the park, I suggest driving to the main access, plenty of parking. At beach access there is a bath house, shelters, grills, and picnic tables. Beautiful beach white... 更多
NICE beach area, good facilities at the beach, tried the beach hiking trail and didn't get too far, as it could use some clearing, Saw a beach mouse as soon as we entered the trail.
I've been coming here for almost 15 years. Quite, relaxing, great staff, great natural dunes and some unique trails. There are two camping loops. The old loop has electric, water, and a dump station and are much more private because of natural growth between sites. The new loop has electric, water, and sewer (full hook ups). Book 11 months ahead.
Grayton is one of our favorite beaches. The $5 entry fee is small price to pay for one of the cleanest, prettiest, and least crowded beaches off of 30A. The beach is very close to a myriad of restaurants, shops, and other things to do after a day at the beach. There are vending machines, restrooms, and picnic tables near... 更多
When entering, I asked the guard what I should do at the park. She pointed out a nice little trail located at the end of the parking lot. It takes you next to the dunes and through a nice little shaded tree area, there's even a prayer for our forests located there. A nice little stop along my bike ride.... 更多
