My wife was thrilled to see old Scottsdale High School memorabilia from her time at the school. Many interesting items for a look at local history.
Lived in Scottsdale most of my life, but hadn't been there in 25 years. Took my friend to see Old Town, and stopped here. Was informative without being boring, varied displays, docents were friendly, informative and so charming.
The historical museum is very small, and is typical of local historical museums, with some very interesting information, but also a lot of local stuff that out-of-towners wouldn't care about. They have a small museum I think it was free with an old pictures, antique furniture. You can learn about town. nice area to walk. Around is my fav restaurant Misson and boots gallery.
Wandered in here just passing by... very small, free museum with some interesting artifacts. Would be interesting for teachers to see some of the school house stuff. Old photos of what Scottsdale used to look like.
I visited the Scottsdale Historical Museum this weekend and enjoyedthe visit to this quaint local musem with lots of items of interest about the City of Scottsdale including items from the origial schoolhouse and stories about early Scottsdale. Take a Look!
My husband and I were in the area anyway, and had time to kill before meeting relatives for dinner at Los Olivos. The little museum is nicely done, but you can go through it very, very quickly. I would recommend going there if you are doing other activities in Old Town, but it is not worth a special trip.
Friends were in from Ohio. Cute little history museum along our travels in Old Town. I learned more about the history of the area and Scottsdale.
Fun feature off of Civic Center Park. Small brick building filled with old photographs and information. Walked through in 5 minutes and have not brought other visitors through, as give them brief synopsis of schoolhouse while standing outside. Free, so nothing to lose, but would only swing through if walking by anyway.
