The first part of the trail is relatively dull, with just a recycling plant and police training area, but once you get to the lake and boulders, it's very beautiful. The boulders are great for climbing on to get a great view. The path is well marked, well maintained, and relatively flat and wide.
Used to be a railroad track. Converted to a flat hiking/bicicling trail, with great views of the lake. Great for walking your dog. Lots of flat rocks and some benches for resting.
this trail is one of the more pleasant semi-urban trails you may ever find. so why am i telling you about it? because 99% of people will not get off their dead ones to walk five miles to see some fabulous real estate. what makes this so special is that the trail loops one of the rare riparian areas of... 更多
What a great way to spend a morning riding among the Dells and a chance to see turtles sunning themselves. It is an easy ride with plenty of opportunities to take the difficult singletrack along the rocks on the lake if that is your style. Wither way, it has something for everyone whether you ride or walk.
Amazing place to hike around, see the sites and things you may not even realize are there. Gotta do this at least once or twice.
This trail runs along the Watson Lake which is beautiful and the weather was perfect. The Preavine Trail runs into Iron King Trail and several other smaller ones which run closer to lake. The SF, P&P Railway used to run through in the old days, there are even some small railcars along the trail which were used. The rock formations... 更多
The easiest trail I've been on in Prescott. The beautiful views of Watson Lake, the Dells, and all the wildlife add to the experience of hiking this historic trail. For use by hikers, walkers, runners, and bikers, there are several benches along this trail for those needing a quick rest or just to sit and enjoy the views. You never... 更多
Fairly long trail but level so good for novices. Go past the lake to get a nice view of the Dells. Some great photo ops and nice review of the history of the area.
The Peavine Trail was established as a part of the 'Rails to Trails' program. It is segmented on the Northeastern perimeter of Prescott and goes from Sun Dog Ranch Road off of Prescott Lakes Parkway North around Watson Lake to Hwy 89A. There is parking at Sun Dog Ranch Road as well as on the Side Road exit off of... 更多
Prescott is lucky to have this great packed-dirt trail. Good for mountain bikes, runners, and walkers. Definitely bring a camera for the views.
