This was our first time there and enjoyed walking around. Not much bird activity, but we would definitely go back. Nice garden. They are remodeling and wild like to see it when it is finished. It is located very close to the Patagonia preserve.
I was first welcomed to this wonderful property in 1993 by Marion and Wally Paton, and have returned many times through the years. Recently the property was acquired by the Tucson Audubon Society, and on my visit today I was impressed with the new venues in place, and plans in progress for the ertire centre. Adjacent to the parking lot... 更多
Love the relaxed seating areas and feeders to enhance the birding experience. It is also fun to meet other birders and share experiences. We have been coming here for many years. We appreciate the work being done to preserve this special spot.
What a find. This is a hidden gem found in Patagonia, AZ. The Paton family have turned their family home over to the Audubon Society. The area is being renovated but there are birds aplenty. We visited in early February and there were just a few Anna's Hummingbirds visiting the feeders. We were very pleased to see many other birds... 更多
While staying in Patagonia over Christmas, we visited this Haven several times, varying the times of day. As beginning birders, we were thrilled with the variety and number of sightings here. There are benches in many locations, and we'd come, sit and wait to see who showed up. Lots of activity at the feeders. Met many birders from around the... 更多
This is a great place, even in the midst of the construction. We got an overview of the plans and would love to come back in a year to see it! Right now, only the front yard is available and we were there on a cold day but still saw numerous birds. Only Anna's Hummingbirds, but other thrashers, warblers, woodpeckers,... 更多
We visited on a Sunday at about noon. The place was deserted. We saw very few hummingbirds. Probably there at the wrong time of day or year...but the place is rustic and lovely, and I'd love to come back. I love the story of the place. There is a trail that leads across the street and through the hills to... 更多
The story behind the Haven is really charming: the Patons bought a run down plot in Patagonia in the 1970s. They loved the local wildlife and so fed the birds, especially the hummingbirds, to encourage them to come. And come they did! It's a beautiful, peaceful area with lots of birds and wildlife to see. Take time to enjoy the... 更多
A wonderful venue to sit and watch hummingbirds and other birds feeding. Also squirrels and other small mammals. Lovely to have your brunch or picnic lunch on the tables surrounding the house. Make sure you explore the grounds.
Paton's Hummingbird Haven is a wonderful place to visit if you enjoy seeing birds and other wildlife. We stumbled across it last winter while in Arizona. We saw so many beautiful birds. It is always a treat to see cardinals and Vermillion flycatchers in addition to the many different kinds of birds including numerous types of hummingbirds. There were to... 更多
