We thought - "how can the best snorkelling in Upolu be right in Apia Itself" but we gave it a try. We went at low tide, which meant that it was actually quite difficult to swim the approximately 50m out to the deep hole which is best for snorkelling. But once we arrived at the deep area, it was truly... 更多
Recommend bringing the below: 1. Reef shoes 2. Snorkels 3. Waterproof camera Then enjoy seeing a great variety of water life for 5tala entrance! This venue is in the centre of Apia making it very convenient. If you feel like getting a bit of sun and sea whlst strolling in Apia on a sunny day, this is your go to.
We turned up at extreme low tide - not recommended - but still managed to get out to where the reef drops off into deep water - but still safe inside the main reef. Good variety of colourful fish, and the best coral we saw. A low priced attraction. Recommended.
Super cheap, I think only $5 to get in, you can hire snorkel and googles here very cheap and then you head out following a long line and ending at a stick in the middle of the reserve which is beautiful! It's a very raw Samoan spot which I love. The Samoan people do not go out of their way... 更多
For a small fee you can rent snorkelling gear and flippers, if you don't have your own. There are toilets and change rooms on the beach. This is the closest spot to Apia for swimming and snorkelling, allowing you to see tropical fish swimming amongst the coral.
This beach is ideally close to Apia center so it makes for an easy get-away with the kids if you're based in Apia Central. It is quiet and peaceful, a great place to just sit and relax. The facilities are very basic, and you may need to queue for the shower. It's fairly rocky, so have some good shoes when... 更多
I saw the most beautiful purple star fish I did not know existed!! I have seen places with more fish so this was an average site but a nice place to go with kids.
Very unspoiled and peaceful with just some small beach shelters and changing room/loo/beach shower. Lovely, not luxury but that's it's charm. Snorkelling can be really excellent but it depends on tide. You have to swim out to the "deep" but fish in shallows too at times.Take drinks although there are cafes just down the road. I visited the three times... 更多
