We hired bikes and road down. There is a free place to lock up your bikes. Entry is $1.50pp. Go on a rainy day to see an even more powerful waterfall. A fun experience. This waterfall is massively impressive!! There are different levels of balconies to see it - at the bottom, and in general, you will get soaked. Wear... 更多
This was a really cool experience. You can go behind the falls and get really close to the water, I would definitely recommend this. The water is so cool and calming. What really added to the whole experience was our guide, Octavio. He had an awesome personality and was really knowledgeable. He took us to the Devil's Cauldron and other... 更多
We rented bikes and took the Ruta de las cascades. The bike ride was easy, mostly down hill. A few areas where the road is very narrow so you need to be mindful of buses and trucks. The Pailon del Diablo falls were awesome. With the recent rains the river was really flowing you can walk down below the falls... 更多
Went here via mountain bike from Banos, all the other falls were great, but nothing like this. You can really get up close and personal here in the man made stone and concrete stairs created to the side of the falls. The power of the falls may drench you in spray depending on the water flow and just how close... 更多
We took a bike ride from banos to the devils cauldron (in itself a great ride) ). From there we took the stairs to the waterfall. After approx. 20 minutes walking and paying 1.50 you can move further to the waterfall. What an amazing sight to see!! When you are already there, there is an additional small entry you should... 更多
This was a beautiful stop on a day of bike riding. The waterfall is beautiful and makes for some great photo ops, as do the walking bridges. There are food vendors there selling very affordable water and snacks considering it's a tourist destination.
We just returned from a morning at Pailon del Diablo. We hiked to the bottom of the waterfall which was spectacular. Take your raincoat because you will get wet. It's a long way to the bottom and once you are there, you need to hike out. It's difficult if you are not used to hiking straight up the side of... 更多
When arrieved you just cant stop looking at the amazing view, the entrance is only $1.50 but is kinda hard going down if you are not used to do any kind of physical workout.
Interesting stair hike, there are stops to rest and resting stops to refresh yourself, wear your rain gear and hiking shoes non-slip. Wondering photo ops on bridges. Also for reference in historical time read, "The Map Maker's Wife." Have fun!
Get ready to get wet! Get shoes that will breathe easily and dry quickly after getting wet. Many experienced hikers and backpackers use hiking shoes. Try the cheap and great food at the Restaurant. Great shakes too.
Such a unique experience and very fun! It was pretty crowded and my fellow travelers would have to sometimes wait a bit to reach different decks, but overall a fun experience. The bar is a fun place to relax at afterwards to enjoy drinks with a breathtaking view of the rainforest!
This is well worth the walk to the Falls. Prepare to get wet if you want to see everything. If you dare you can walk under the falls to the steps down to the cauldron. Good luck. We were told the walkway under the falls is in the top 10 scariest walks in the world. I don't know for sure... 更多
