With crystal clear water that rivals the Caribbean and is only different in temperature and fauna, one should strive to take a tour of this by boat (group, charter, private) and visit the sea lions, birds, and remote islands with vegetation that you will see nowhere else. Eye opening. Breathtaking.
We stopped in Ushuaia as part of a Antarctic Cruise and we really enjoyed this town! Safe to walk around and nice small shops to explore as well as cafes and restaurants. This is the beginning and end for many expedition ship cruises and so we encountered more tourists than locals on the streets but once in the shops and... 更多
You can remain under cover and sip coffee or beer while cruising around the harbour, or go outside and photograph the sea lion and cormorant colonies.
We went to the harbour and the boat service picked us up immeadiatly. It has like -3c so we prefered to sit inside. After the snack, we arrived at "h-island" a beautiful island at the end of the world. We had 1 hour to make photos and to explore, bevore we went to the famous lighthouse. I would do it... 更多
Great boat trip to see seals and cormorants and the views of Ushuaia from the sea. Despite this being winter and therefore very cold at sea, it was an excellent trip which enabled us to get close to the islands where wildlife was and, indeed, land on one and stretch legs on a brisk walkabout.
We took a boat trip on a Cat. The weather was perfect and the guide spoke both spanish and english. Friendly staff onboard and reasonable prices on drinks and food.
We cruised in the Ushuaia Bay on the way to the End of the World. We went to a post office on Ushuaia and sent a card home to us. It arrived a month later. Recommend this very much!
If you are going out to see the bay you should really do a cruise of the whole channel. This is just one small part of an amazing ecosystem and scenery.
Not quite the most southerly light house in the world but for me well worth the boat ride out around the channel with lots of amazing wildlife to see a photo at every turn
