Following the Lonely Planet's praise in their Argentina travel guide, we decided we needed to seek out this protected area as part of a recent trip to Northern Argentina. It took some planning to get to without a car, but actually with a little help from our lodge in Colonia Carlos Pellegrini and our hotel in Buenos Aires it turned... 更多
I visited Esteros deal Iberá from Colonia Carlos Pellegrini after reading about this relatively undiscovered corner of Argentina. It's their equivalent of the Pantanal in Brazil and the wildlife is similar. Capybaras graze next to the enormous Iberá lake and black caiman laze in the sun. There are deer, foxes, monkeys and countless birds making the area suburb for wildlife... 更多
The Esteros de Ibera are HUUUUGGEEEEE, So where ever you decide to enter the national park, i advise you to take a guide with you, whether you are in a boat, on foot or in a 4x4, the guides know where to find the animals and they also have access to some of the roads that are private. There are... 更多

A wonderful, old-time estancia in the same family for many generations. A working cattle ranch. I don't know how many cabañas they have for guests, but it looked like quite a few. Staff were wonderful: good meals were served on time. Carlos, a gaucho and bird guide, met us on arrival and took us birding immediately, and all day the... 更多
If you love fauna & flora, this is a must. Natural reserve preserving yacares, capibaras, birds, wild cats, deers, carayas, etc, etc. Can take a tour by trekking as well as by boat... You'll appreciate different species in its natural environment.
Hurry up and visit this place! If the government does not continue to protect this area the species in it are in danger. This is a spectacular water reservation and the people at Colonia C. Pellegrini show a great zeal to protect it. Mammals, birds, fishes of all sort inhabit the lands and waters of the Laguna Ibera.
We had been there end of August. There are quite some moskitos around so it would be good to have... 更多
