If you like modern art, this accessible museum will feed your need. Not all of the art is from Latin America, but the art is varied and nicely displayed. The space is beautiful. The current special exhibit is Vigo's works, which is a great collection with clear signage. We heard that admission is free on Tuesdays and were happy to... 更多
A must for modern art lovers. MAMBA is a bit lesser known in the city despite turning 60 years old this year, and being located in San Telmo. Come here for great exhibits and exposure to artists you haven't heard of, but will continue to follow for years to come. The architecture is also stunning. Yes, you can walk on... 更多
I went to Museo de Arte Moderno and this is a nice place to spend some time. But I found it big for the few amount of pieces in there. When I was there the elevators wasn't working and everybody had to cover all the 4 floors by stairs.
I really, really enjoyed my visits today. The La Menesunda According to Marta Minujin was exciting and mind blowing, and wonderful and very before its time. Museums collection of modern art featuring many South American and some European artists. The works are amazing and inspiring. The best Art Gallery in BA. I will be revisiting the museum again before I... 更多
Although costing only 20AR$ entrance (circa £1) this was a great disappointment in terms of the amount of modern art displayed. A very thin collection of modern art compared to the amount in the Museo de Belles Artes which contains much besides. We were out after ten minutes having seen it all.
Admission to the museum was $1.25 USD which was worth it alone for the air-conditioned space on a hot summer day after strolling the weekend fair. The space was very modern, spacious and well-kept. One of the exhibits was closed for maintenance, but I doubt we missed much. There were a couple of interesting pieces but compared to modern art... 更多
this is absolutely the most exciting museo to which we have been. after 3 others we would rate this numero uno. the art is certainly contemporary but every collection has an english explanation of the history of the art. further all the artists are from argentina and the influence of the european artists, mondrian etc. are explained. the galleries are... 更多
We loved this museum, but the best and most memorable part was the special installation called La Menesunda which was a recreation of a work from 1965. The entry is timed (and they gave us tickets for 2 hours after museum entry!) so that one person at a time can experience it. I won't ruin it but you go through... 更多
This is a rather large museum that is nicely organized on 4 floors with a diversity of permanent/temporary exhibition. The remake of the polysensorial exhibit o the 60's was lots of fun, the rest not too much our cup of tea but the exhibitions were admittedly well presented in a superb volumes.
