Booked this trip at one of the booking offices on Faro Marina, 25 Euros pp for a 3 hour trip. Carlos, our guide and 'captain' was very well informed on the birds, fish and history of the Ria Formosa and the speedboat we were on had just ten people on, from UK, Germany, France, Belgium and Switzerland...so his language skills... 更多
I've been staying right on the Lagoon at Pinheiro in the Ria Formosa for 15 years now and never tire of its unchanging beauty and tranquility. It is in Portugal which is not the impression one gains of the Central Algarve!! Highly recommended with some lovely beaches on the islands which are pretty much unsurpassed. There are no water parks,... 更多
I am commenting only on the Park entrance whoch is on the mainland ner Olhao. The park is badly in need of some maintenance. Ot was pretty sad really with the old mill and Roman salt pits being the only real sections of interest. The Park centre was fairly well presented but closed to the piblic during siesta hours. There... 更多
Fabulous day. Beautiful islands, each with their own character. Will definitely be returning. We loved stopping at our very own private sand bank, snorkelling off the boat in search of sea horses and we weren't disappointed. Our guide Jaime was great fun, very knowledgable. Would recommend this tour without hesitation.
2 days in a row I paid the entrance fee of 2,60€ in order to experience the bird life in Nature Park Ria Formosa just east of Olhão at low tide and high tide respectively. At low tide the mud flades of the salt marsh was a very fine place to observe different kinds of waders as well as lots... 更多
Pleasant time taking a gentle walk about the park. Nice pine wood walk down to the sea and fascinating look at the tidal mills. Bird spotting in the wetland was easy enough, but easier still if you have binoculars! Has the general feel of somewhere that has suffered from cutbacks, which takes away from it a little. Good all the... 更多
This park is vast - but there's a small section near Olhao which gives a taster of the whole park and has a tidal mill. The bird life is amazing, but there's other wildlife too - chameleons, terrapins, etc. We got the train to Olhao then walked to & from the park. Take refreshments with you!
After many visits to Portugal I found a new first in taking a half day boat trip of the Ria Formosa - lovely! Too hot for much wildlife, so will seek to go back either spring or autumn next year to see more of the migrating bird life. Great way to spend a long half day - totally recommend. Overall... 更多
