A good way to start your Saturday. The Slow Market is open from 09:00 - 14:00 (Saturdays only) and there is ample parking. You can have breakfast and/or lunch there, anything from specialty samosas (crayfish, prawn and avo, salmon and feta cheese, found at the entrance to the hall) to shawarmas, paella, braai (BBQ), etc. and to drink anything from... 更多
Recently discovered with a help of a dear friend this market is my favourite now. Compare to the other markets I would justify the name, it is "slow": you have time and space to walk around and enjoy yourself. You also will find a place to seat and have your meal, talking of which I always go for the Tunisian... 更多
This market was a lovely surprise. I was delighted that EVERYTHING I saw was lovingly made, local or artisanal. (ie NOT polluted by stalls of imported plastic tchotchkes and commercial junk!) On my visit, I bought a well-priced silver necklace, sampled delicious charcuterie (and bought various products as a result). I also ate an unusual (yummy!) cheese and bacon spring... 更多
This market has such a laid back vibe. There is so much on offer in terms of delicious food offerings. Live music, bubbly and local craft beer to enjoy while meandering through the stalls. A lovely stop off while in the Stellenbosch area.

visited last year, back this year. I couldn't miss the opportunity of visiting this great market. Good (and cheap) food, fresh fruit and veggies, plus wonderful flowers. This market is really great
This market certainly gets the balance between interesting stores and excellent food stalls right. Very few same stands means the variety on show is diverse. Grab a bite to eat, with a bottle of wine or a craft beer and sit at a table in the buzz of the market. We spent a very pleasant 3 hours at this market.... 更多
We in Australia could learn so much from markets like this, the quality and presentation of the food, wine, beer and crafts was top notch. Everybody was so friendly. We sampled the oysters and champagne, but there was so much local stuff
Located at Oude Libertas on the slopes of Pappegaaiberg, this market is all about local food, wine and design. It is a busy, but casual layout under old oak trees, with a view of the surrounding mountains and not far right outside of downtown Stellenbosch. The Slow Market is an intimate space and familiarity of the locals that adds to... 更多
