For us the real Knysna is about the forest. This walk encapsulates what we enjoy about Knysna. What you need: good walking shoes especially if you are doing the 9 km and water. We did the walk in winter which is probably cooler, but just need to be aware of slippery patches. You pay a minimal fee at the boom... 更多
My husband and I did the Circles in the Forest hike to the swimming pool area. It was very quiet. We maybe saw 10 people along the way. There was no one in the swimming pool area. We dipped our feet in which was great following the hot walk. It was a trek to get there from our hotel however,... 更多
We did the 9km yesterday.what an enriching experience.we are in awe with the beauty of the forest. The last 3km on the road is very steep so make sure you have plenty of water and travel light. Wear comfy clothes and shoes.enjoy its a must!!
My husband and I chose to do the 3km walk not the 9km walk. It was so lovely! The path meanders through the indigenous forest and there are some info boards about the various trees. It was fairly warm in the mostly shaded forest despite it being a cool day.
Wonderful experience of a magnificent forest untouched. Well done to all who safe guard this for future generations. Wear good shoes, as narrow up and down paths over tree roots etc. Enjoy!
We walked it twice in two days and enjoyed every bit of it! It is fun to get "lost" as the path will always lead you back to a map where you can get reoriented :)
For a relaxing day out, this is a great place to visit. Whilst the more energetic family members head off on their mountain bikes or hiking along Jubilee Creek to view the old gold mines and shafts, the rest of the family can enjoy a picnic on the banks of Jubilee Creek and reading their book while the kids paddle... 更多
We had gone out for a big lunch at Totties Kitchen Farm just down the road and this was the perfect way to walk it off.Its a pretty easy trail although it does undulate and there were muddy patches to get around and I would suggest doing it in trainers. Its great that there are distance markers to let you know... 更多
We visited forest to do 3km circular walk. We found forest easily and got directions to walk from girl at entrance kiosk. We inquired about information or map on forest but were just pointed to notice at entrance. We enjoyed peace of forest. It was only as we were driving away that we realised there was quite a history associate with... 更多
We packed a picnic bag and headed out into the forest. The route is beautiful and even doable for youngsters. Information on the route was hard to find and directions even more obscure, but worth the effort!
