Many of us former South African residents studied there. A great seat of education. Now, overtaken by radical elements it is currently a place to avoid. Hopefully the current problems will be sorted out. At the moment please avoid while the current issues are dealt with. Strongly not recommended.
We have driven through the university campus a couple of times so I have had a chance to admire the architecture and the way it's built on the side of the hill. It's well worth a visit, and I regret not going back there and have a stroll around on foot. The area is also quite safe.
Spending a semester here 20 years ago, each year I run the 2Oceans Marathon that ends here. So parking at the top, I walked down through the estate and again up afterwards on a trip down memory lane. Some of the recent political events sees some of the old statues covered in plastic now which was rather odd after all... 更多
The architecture of the buildings make it feel really nice and rustic with the bricks and the ivy creeping over in fall colors. Good views of the landscape and great free transportation by bus within the campus. I'm not a student but was glad to visit.
It has a spectacular view of Cape Town and is littered with beautiful buildings. But don't be fooled it is a University not necessarily a tourist attraction, so if you're looking for guided tours and cappuccino bats go somewhere else.
No I'm not a full time student I'm a Summer School mature or is that retired person. If you fit this description in any way, or even if you don't, Google this review's title. The selection of subjects is wide, the venue excellent and the organisation first class. I had to make all of my course booking from abroad, plus... 更多
UCT is a well-established, wide-ranging educational centre, with several specialised faculty buildings and event venues, including music and theatre at the Baxter. Check in at the visitors' office, if you need directions to your destination and convenient parking.
Spent a semester studying here are part of my MA and had a great time. The administration is typically slow and ineffective, but once you've accepted that nothing will ever get done quickly or efficiently (or the first, second or third time you do it) then the campus is great, the student body interesting, politically engaged and hedonistic, and the... 更多
We visited the Department of Humanities for some collaboration work. We were amazed with the university infra and the facilitied provided to the students. One of the best places to study in SA!
