Eight years on from our last visit it was nice to find that the boardwalk had been completed, so one can get close to the water and reedbeds where plenty of birds are to be found.
We did the eco-cruise run by Mike which was a nice experience with informative commentary that lasted about 90 minutes. You can take a picnic and Mike offers free snacks and water too if required. Nice trip.
Wilderness lagoon is the quintessential of peace. No currents, rocks, stumps etc We do the daily peddleboarding, swimming and canoeing. You can go into the Wilderness Reserve by canoe. Into the most tranquil environment you can imagine.
Great place for children and adults to swim. Also canoes are available. it is possible to canoe all the way to the National Park, leave the canoes on the bank and hike to the nearby waterfall
Magnificent lagoon - perfect for SUP, kayak, swimming and fishing. Also offers motorized boat, day or sundowner cruises. A must see & experience during your visit to the Garden Route! For those who enjoy walks, the Kingfisher Trail alongside the lagoon up to the waterfall is also an iconic local attraction.
Nice place to relax...careful of the depth of water, and keep away at evening and weekends, unless you like braais (BBQs) and noise. It also looked untidy and tired and be careful...security guards try to make you pay if you are NOT from South Africa. If you want to do something different....get hold of Mike from Eco Boat Cruises....he runs... 更多
A scenic area, where you can spend a couple of days. Strolling around and search for the right places and light taking this unforgettable picture for your friends home. Direct access to the huge beaches. Worth the time spent here.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoy our daily morning walk on this beautiful beach. It is always clean and in Season bathers are looked after by lifeguards. Only criticism is all the selfish dog owners who do not abide by the rules regarding times to walk their pets on the beach.
A really great feature to help anyone explore the region by boat, swim or canoe. A good half day trip should be enough to explore the watercourse by vessel of some description. There are also lovely boardwalks on the southern banks and hiking routes to help take in the scenery by foot too!
