We had a great tour around the place while learning about the Zulu history. We were taken to watch some traditional Zulu dances which was fabulous. They encouraged you to get involved and to enjoy the culture. The lunch was delicious with lots of choice. There was so much variety in the gift sections which was great. Would definitely recommend!
We were picked up from hotel and had very pleasant ride (about 1,5 hrs) with lovely driver Timba, once we got there everything was like in true Africa ❤️ We visited a village, got to know some history of Zulu people; a local drink, a show, a market and nice lunch with spectacular view. Stop at gift shop with great... 更多
We spent a couple of days and one night at Shakaland and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The guides were informative in telling us about the Zulu customs. We were invited to take part in the traditional dancing, fighting and spear throwing. I even had a go at grinding corn! The food was good and the rooms were fine, just a... 更多
The village is absolutely fabulous only spoilt by the shop Curioafrica taking 6000 rand for an item, taking shipping details and then not bothering to send the item. Cue 3 wasted hours on the phone trying to get a refund from Visa. Go to Shakaland but do not trust the shop Curioafrica to send any items that you have paid... 更多

Our room was very cozy, with the basic things u need. The food was very good. If you arrive mid day you will have a cultural show late afternoon and evening and... 更多
We went here with our tour and found it to be informational, interesting but very touristy. I prefer to go to real villages and not "made for tourist" villages but realize that's not always possible. The performers didn't seem to interested in their jobs which didn't help.
We arrived in the rain, so the Zulu show was in doors, the drums were very loud and the dancers had extreme energy. Wow! was the favorite expression of the group leaving the arena. Rooms were not air conditioned but it didn't matter. The room was clean and well decorated
When we arrived it was pretty hot and our rondevel hut was hot inside. The huge downside of staying the night is there is no Air Conditioning in the huts nor anyplace else and it was so hot we had trouble sleeping. On the other side, the tour, dancing and meal are excellent! There is a small pool available to... 更多
