A very nice place to slip away for a week or weekend. Not too far to drive. Just to be lazy and enjoy the company of friends or family. Enjoyable walks and the farm dog is the best ambassador and tour guide. Will definitely return soon.
We returned to Nkwe over Christmas and stayed in the large chalet called uiltjie Knip. The bedding and furnishings had been updated since we were there last and there is a new manager called Francine who is really lovely, friendly, efficient and is willing to go the extra mile and provided us with a delicious Christmas lunch. This resort is located far-far east of Pretoria. You can camp, even for months, book a lapa or just come for a picnic. There is a natural pool that attract that is the centre of water sports. Good for group picnics.
Never again!!! Booked the 2 bed caravan for 1 night. We left after being there for an hour. The place was dirty, the braai was not usable, the plastic table outside have not seen water and soap for many months. The staff is far from helpful.
Beautiful camping grounds with efficient shade. The facilities are well kept and clean. The staff is fantastic, well dressed and very friendly. André made us all feel welcome, even gave us free ice cream! I would just recommend if you go camping there, take a very long extension cord.
To all with kids I would advise to stay away... We are 2 families from the EC that enquire regarding accommodation, as we needed to take the kids for aptitude testing.
