This area is amazing. Beautiful forests, beautiful drive in through desert and red rock country. Lots of areas to choose from for sightseeing, hiking, etc. the Grand Canyon is amazing, of course, and the old lodge just beautiful. The sad part was the smoke. some of it was from prescribed burns, which is tolerable, but some of it was from... 更多
On our drive from Jacob Lake to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon we saw Buffalo running about in the distance. There were several places to pull off the side of the road and watch nature in all its glory. When traveling at night be alert. It is very dark and there is nothing around you for miles. Great... 更多

We didn't know anything about the Kaibab National Forest until we drove to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. It's a lovely destination on its own. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful meadows along the road. During our last drive we saw over a hundred deer and ten bison. Very cool!

We felt like pioneers as there were so few people around. The history of the area is worth looking into and I wish I had done that. Google: Kaibab before... 更多
We made a day drive thru the forest, it was beautiful, although they were conducting a control burn in part of the area which made for a windows up condition.
