Very well done museum! Great exhibits, my favorite is the old jail downstairs! This is a free museum and you could spend most of a day in here looking at all the neat stuff.
We had stopped for awhile in Holbrook on the way back from Petrified Forrest National Park to take a look at the town. We found this museum a lovely break from the outside and really a delightful museum. Also outside they were having a small historical fair. Really an entertaining break! At the fair they were selling Indian fry bread,... 更多
The courthouse was turned into a museum so not only do you get to look and admire the old courthouse but also the displays. The most interesting was the jail they used until 1976. Wish jails were still this harsh maybe it would stop repeat offenders.
Quite a collection of mostly settlers antiques. Few displays of Native American artifacts-pots, a doll, pictures. The young lady was really nice , we arrived 10 minutes before closing and she did not pressure us to leave. There was a covered chuck wagon. All housed in 1800s courthouse. Worth the stop. Also an AZ visitor center with brochures
We visited since we were looking for tourist information and it's all located in the same building. It only takes about 30 min to visit and they do not charge admission but they do ask for a small donation if possible. Very interesting exhibits about the history of area. I took lots of pictures of all the exhibits. It is... 更多
This was such a surprise. We went in for directions and spent about an hour there. It is a donation only place. The jail that was used just 30 years ago was something to see. It was set up very well. Would have spent more time if we didn't have somewhere else to go.
We were following the signs for Arizona Tourist Information…. and was surprised to find such an nice little museum. It is quite a good collection of local artifacts about the development of Holbrook. The museum s free. The building houses the county courthouse and jail that you are free to walk through. A diverse collection from the old Navajo phone... 更多
This is such a nice little museum which gives you an idea of how the town developed and how people lived years ago. My girls were enchanted with the schoolroom and the courthouse. I enjoyed the Pony Express display and the tidbits about life in Holbrook. The museum is free, but they do have a donation box. If you donate,... 更多
