Good place for water sports, surf and kite surf when conditions allow. Crowded during January and holidays. Clean, pristine water and white sand. Great for walking bare footed as well.
The beauty of this beach is right up there with the best, Cancun, you name it. I love this beach. The sea is light blue or green sometimes. The waves are calm. The sand is really white. Paradise. There are several restaurants and the beach is extensive( both length and the strip of sand). The parking is charged by the local government, but can be hard to find a place available.
The beach was crowded, but it's expected on a holiday weekend. Despite the crowd, it's still a great beach. The water is cold but bearable, and the small waves can be fun.
Praia do Forte is one of the most beautiful urban beaches in Brazil. The white sand, the turquoise sea and the constant breeze make it a paradise on Earth. However, in the summer it is so crowded that it turns into hell on Earth. Avoid Cabo Frio from December to Carnival.
