We visited for a couple of hours while touring the Kenai Peninsula. The visitor center is great, with really helpful rangers who suggested activities. On their advice, we hiked to the lake and followed some of the adjacent trails looking for wildlife. There's an eagle's nest close to the visitor center. .
We went to the visitors center and did the tour there. The rangers were very helpful and very well informed. It was not a large exhibit but well done. They have a couple of short walking tours right there. As always in Al. People are killed by bears and moose every year so be aware of how to avoid problems.... 更多
We made a brief visit here before heading south. We were impressed by their displays and the information that accompanied it. Wish we had more time to explore the roads and trails they had. Well worth a stop and conveniently located near Hwy.
nice hikes around the lakes and through the woods. The visitor's center is a mini-museum and the rangers are most helpful. We got our best suggestions on where to eat from the park rangers.
Well thought out...great information..kids love it...always interesting ...they have a wonderful program for preschoolers on 3rd Thursday of the. Month...new themes each time
I love the KNWR. The brand new visitor's center is small, but packs a mighty punch. My two boys love to go through the visitors center and learn with the "hands-on" approach.
