A great "local" experience without a lot of tourists. First a rough & rolling 4X4 trek over a couple of rivers/streams and then a jet boat ride to the foot of the Knik Glacier. A short hike up a rather steep and rocky bank to rest a while and absorb the views (be sure to wear sturdy shoes). Interesting stories... 更多
The ride out to the boats was a little long and very rough. It was amazing that the airboat was built in the small town we are from in Texas. Scenery was beautiful, saw wildlife but noise of boats scared away. Enjoyed walking around at our own pace. Recommend finding a private place to sit and enjoy the views.
This excursion was SO much fun from beginning to end. We started the trip piling into a van to go 4 wheeling through rough terrain and rivers. We then got into air/jet boats to travel out to the glacier passing mini icebergs as we travelled. Once at the glacier the scenery was spectacular! The guys running the place are great... 更多
We had so much fun during this tour. First we drove through an actual river and then we got to go on a fly wheel boat. Those two were an adventure by itself. Tom and his crew are super nice people and really enjoy taking the tourists out to Knik Glacier. The Glacier itself is really beautiful to wander around... 更多
Climb aboard off-road vehicles; ride across land and streams to jet/air boats; journey past beautiful mountains and icebergs to land by a glacier. 3-4 hours. So fun.
We have just come back from the most amazing afternoon, can't believe how spectacular it was even on an overcast day. This trip was recommended by friends and we would highly recommend it to anyone coming to Anchorage .. Well worth the drive out. patricia and Leo, Queensland, Australia
What an incredible day!!! There are not enough superlatives to adequately describe this joyous adventure to get up close and personal with a glacier!!! The photos on their website are 100% accurate. This is a definite "must see"!!!
We added this tour at the last moment, due to the reviews on TripAdvisor. My daughter lives in Alaska and we travel the state during late June, early July photographing the amazing wildlife and scenery. Last year, it had rained at Denali and Wrangle-St. Elias. We were tired and frustrated, but the closer we came to Palmer, we saw blue... 更多
