The building is nice and the butterfly garden to start the visit is a great idea. However, the rest of the museum is very disappointing: entrance is not cheap (8$/ pers, almost no explanations, poor historical content, absolutely no coherence between the rooms and overall it's quite small museum. The pre-columbine remains ok but there is pretty much nothing on... 更多
Fantastic museum and building! This is where you find the history of Costa Rica, a lot of the culture including Pre-Columbian, and a fascinating building!
I have taken my grandchildren, who love this place. It is full of scientific experiments, Costa Rican history on main export products from the past, like coffee and bananas. It has a little farm wit real animals, a train, plane and chopper. It has a dinosaur part with great dinosaurs that makes noises and move and the children love it.... 更多
While San Jose does not have a true museum district, the downtown is small enough that most of the museums are close together so see more than one. Got to learn about the history of the country and the city. It was a decent price to enter, and we were able to spend a lot of time going through everything. The butterfly garden was beautiful and relaxing. I enjoyed the museum so much. Also, just down the street, is a very awesome souvenir market.
Very quiet for a national museum, centrally located on the Main Street into San Jose from east of the city. A little over $6 for entry was very fair and I spent a good few hours here with ease. Pre-Colombian history, history of San Jose/Cartago, design and cultur history as well as a very sweet butterfly garden upon entry and... 更多
