One of the most beautiful areas of Central America where the locals are noted for their longevity. The majority of the population is on the coasts with the interior thinly populated. While the landscape of the interior is mostly heavily forested mountain range, the most noted feature of the peninsula is the coastline with it's dramatic scenery and small villages,... 更多
After experiencing the high touristy spots of Costa it was great to take refuge in a quiet, tranquil part of the country. Its a great spot to chill and enjoy Tico life...Pura Vida.
A small city but historic dating to the 1600's . There is a beautiful church at the park (or plaza). It was not open while we were there but we spent time in the park watching the iguanas and were able to purchase some handmade artwork from the artist there.
Nicoya Peninsula is loaded with beautiful beaches and breath taking scenery. Many of the roads are rough with copious amounts of dirt and dust. Some roads crossed streams with out bridges - drive in stream bed. Recommend 4wd vehicle. Visited during the dry season to multiple locations along west coast. Can not imagine what a mud pit it must be... 更多
My wife and I love being active, but we also love to relax. This place has an enormous variety of activities and excursions to choose from. It also has some of the most beautiful beaches and sunsets I've ever seen. We spent half of our time doing active/adventurous things and the other half of our time was spent relaxing. Many... 更多

Lovely home with pool in a lush serene environment. The nutritious food was freshly prepared and guests were invited to help if the wished to. There were friendly pets of cats, a dog and two horses, all enjoying their peaceful home. The rooms were spacious, immaculate and had a small veranda to sit on. The hosts were very friendly, helpful... 更多
I came, I saw, I bought a villa. Love, love, love this pristine paradise with wildlife, beaches, and wonderful locals, expats, and tourists from all over the world.
The roads are a bit rough. I traveled there during the dry season and I enjoyed myself very much! Mal Pais had the nicest beach, in my opinion and Santa Teresa had the best night life. Montezuma was my favorite little spot I visited and the waterfalls there are worth checking out. The roads there are VERY ROUGH and 4x4... 更多
