Great museum and far more interesting that we thought it would be. Provides good information on dozens of musicians with Alabama roots. It was surprising how many famous musicians are from Alabama and not ever realizing it. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Entirely handicap accessible.
In area for a few days of vacation, & decided to visit the museum. We weren't disappointed at all. It was all displayed and laid out very well. Really enjoyed seeing just all the wonderful musicians that came from this state. We were happy that we stopped and visited!
It had been 15 years since I had been to the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and when company came in from out of town, I definitely wanted to take them there. I'm glad I did! A lot of people don't realize how many people who are now famous, have lived in or are from Alabama. The "Golden Country Car"... 更多
If you liked the country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, you will really like this museum. It is well done and we spent about an hour and a half there. You should also tour the FAME recording studio to learn about the Muscle Shoals Rytham Sound.
I had not visited the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in over 20 years. It was so much fun to go back and see and hear about the many songs written and/or performed by Alabama natives. Highlights include a tour bus owned by the country music group, Alabama, and a crazy looking western car once owned by Webb Pierce. For... 更多
I admit that I had low expectations when we pulled into the parking lot. We took a risk and paid the admission. However, I was quickly pleased with the content and quality of exhibits and felt like I received good value for the dollar spent. The well-organized exhibits told the stories of the many well-known artists who have connections to... 更多
I recommend this 'museum' to people who like country music stars. I must admit some things were unique but the rest was quite average. Unless you know or admire some of the singers and are in the area I would not recommend going out of your way to visit.
Took the family here and didn't really know what to expect. We were all really impressed with the amount of music history that is packed in this building. There are a lot of artists that either started in Alabama or have been through Alabama and recorded there. Lots of amazing facts to learn and see here definitely worth the stop.
My husband got more out of visiting this place than I did because he's from Alabama. But the A/C was welcome on a very hot day and the displays are all well done. It was interesting to learn that The Temptations (I'm a Motown girl) were born in Alabama! Conveniently located and easy to find.
