If you want to buy good real silk in affordable price this is the place to go. Not many people know about this place. there is very less negotiation.
if the tour gets boring, just wander into the showrooms. On the advice of our china guide, I bought three silk quilts. They are amazing souvenirs. when shrinkwrapped at the showroom they are very flat and go right in your suitcase. I have slept under a silk quilt every night for 9 months now.... the best best best! They come... 更多
This visit was included in a tour of China and we were with a group of 16 people. The staff were very good at sales - but not in a too 'pushy' way. Once you showed interest then you were 'encouraged' to buy more! Several of our group bought duvets including ourselves. Everything was vacuum packed for travel home. The... 更多
Well this was a far cry from keeping silkworms as a kid and feeding them mulberry leaves. Set up for tourists, the tour begins with a short intro to the history of silk at the museum, then moves on to how it is grown and harvested. They have women there who demonstrate getting the silk being taken out of the... 更多
The factory was well worth a visit and staff were very willing to help in any way they could . We found their Silk Quilts to be top quality and well suited to ACT conditions .
We were greeted and accompanied by a very pleasant and helpful staff member who had excellent English skills. Was very helpful in pointing out different quality silks and very helpful in finding the correct sizes for us. We were most interested in silk apparel for adult and children as well as by the meter fabric goods. Facility is government monitered... 更多
They appeared to be good quality and the sales person assured me that the items I purchased had inner hooks to attach the cover and no seems. I should have inspected my purchase! When I arrived home I discovered no hooks and a seam down the middle of my silk cover! BEWARE
Although there is a 10 minuter explanation and demonstration of silk production ,make no mistake this is purely a tourist shopping opportunity. I will admit there was no real hard sell. It is a silk warehouse which sells its products especially aimed at tourists. A very informative demonstration in the lifespan of a silk worm, and the practical spinning of... 更多
We had a round trip in China. The last station was Shanghai. With the group we visited the Jiangnansilk Museum. My husband and me we stayed longer time in Shanghai and I had the possibility to compare this Silk Museum with others. My opinion is: the prices are the same in all Silk Museums, but! The Design and the quantity... 更多
Our student tour (I was one of the parent chaperones) stopped here while in Shanghai. Anything that captures the attention of more than a dozen high school students must be worthwhile. A knowledgeable guide led us through the workshop showing us how the silk is produced. The tour was informative, interesting, and the right length of time. The gift shop... 更多
