Just took my granddaughter to the children's section after feeding geese, and she showed me "her" section of the museum! We did puzzles, stamping, coloring, and more! I think I had more fun than she did!!!! We had a great time!
My wife and I have come to love this museum because it has some of our favorite artists like John Singer Sargent, Edward Hopper, etc., as well as a fine restaurant. The Saturday brunch was delicious and relatively inexpensive(about $20, for the two of us.) There is no admission fee to the museum. After brunch we made a leisurely stroll... 更多
A spacious archtecturally interesting structure located by a lake. The collection is not extensive but has some significant paintings that are worth a visit. Small cafe and gift shop and a children's activity center. Very pleasant and serene experience.
My kids and I love the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. We spend many weekends here just admiring the paintings and sculptures. The outside is also nice, as there is an area where you can feed very large catfish, and very frisky ducks!
We enjoyed an afternoon trip to this museum with our grandkids, ages 3 and 4. The kids area is very hands on and interactive. I would encourage anyone with bored kids to take this in.

The building was impressive, especially from the interior. The setting was beautiful, within a well-kept part, and with water on one side. My problem with the museum is that although there were some fairly old paintings displayed (100-200 or so years old), there was little of significant artistic value.
Since I had been traveling a lot lately, my daughter and wife flew down for a few days since I would be out of town for two weeks straight. My daughter gets a big kick out of art so we took her here. She loved it. It was free so we made sure to leave a donation.
