What a lovely monument to a terrible time in our nation's history. A fitting and gorgeous tribute to 40 lives lost in the struggle for civil rights.
A very impressive memorial indeed! I like the way they museum is set up by time period and how it ties in continued struggles today. Well worth the visit. It's a wonderful reminder of what love can do.
Awesome timeline of civil rights history. Loved seeing this and feeling the water run over it. The museum was closed by the time we visited, however, we wanted to see memorial nonetheless.
Really interesting and nice to see. The timeline is a great run through of the civil rights movement. Martin Luthers quote inscribed on the wall is also really lovely.
Maya Linn's Memorial to the people who died during the Civil Rights Movement is very moving! The exhibits and displays give you a glimpse into the lives of ordinary people who did such extraordinary things! I hope you are able to add your name to the Wall Tolerance!
This place is/was the bomb. It is a stirring and poignant tribute to those who were the victims of the mindless ignorance that characterized the South in the past. It is amazing and extremely educational.
great spot to take photos. It is a waterfall, so that is kind of neat. I love this spot, every time I have been here, I take a photo of everyone's hands on the memorial. It is located out front of the Civil Rights Museum.
We visited here on a beautiful quiet sunny day. Read the inscriptions on as much as you can, especially to the children. The civil rights museum is very reasonably priced & staff was very helpful & friendly.
