EarlyWorks Museum Complex is a fun, hands-on experience for children and parents. Filled with educational information about the history of the state of Alabama. My kids loved it.
This place was a little expensive, $7.00 per child but we'll worth the money. The grandchildren had a blast! They are five and three. I could not get them to leave. Perfect for rainy days, minus getting from the car to the museum, I would suggest ages 4 - 11 depending on the maturity level of your child.... I was overly intrigued at all of the hidden elements as well as written information, to include historical artifacts on one of my favorite people in the world... Helen Keller....
This is a great place for children 2-100. We took our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter who instantly became mesmerized by the fish pond. She fished with other children. They all got along. Fun, colorful place to spend a day with kids. Almost all exhibits very specific to the state/region. Fun pre-school/nursery area for kids under two.
The museum was just okay. I believe children are a lot smarter than this museum gives them credit for. Most of it is hands on with no adult guidance.
