Ideal place for spend 4-5 days. Population is to low. communication is bad. Monastery is so good. I hope you will like that. Also visit Neora valley national park. and go Rishop by tracking. You will local guide with very small money.
We were staying in Rishoop and visited lava for a day visit . But felt to stay there longer .. a tine small town with a small stops restaurants and calm weather gives a complete relaxation. A small beautiful hamlet..now which appears to be crowded with taxis and people..The serenity appears to be compromised now..lots of hustle on the roads.

We went Lava from Kalimpong and we didn't stay there. The place is nice. We visited a Monastery there, which is big in area and the surrounding area is nice. The place has got too many hotels and restaurants. Some are good and some are bad. You have to reach by road. This place is to enjoy the nature.
Awesome place, Monastery a must go. Local market is full of Bengalis serving Bengali foods. Lots of midrange hotels. Road is very steep so be ready for a tough walk everytime. The Lava monastery has no electric car service. Thus u need to take a walk till the top. Its strenuous but worth it. U can also visit Neora Valley... 更多
