Chowrasta reminds of the ridge area of Shimla. It's a large place for strolling and enjoying the overall atmosphere. There are plenty of shops selling winter wear at reasonable rates. Also there are cafes, book and souvenir shops. Its very vibrant in the evenings. Nice place to chill !
nice place to hang out with lots of kids activity. there is a cafe coffee day also. You can take photos in traditional darjeeling costume by hiring a professional photograper available there ( Rs 40 per snap)
Chowrasta is the epitome of what Darjeeling is like. If its your first visit there, you will be wondering why people are just sitting around doing nothing, watching life pass by. But this is the place that guys and girls sit around to flirt and be noticed, the promenade of Darjeeling. There are excellent shops around it, in particular, the... 更多
city's round about on the way to mall road! shops on either side and a stage area where you can experience different functions as per your date of visit..
When you visit this place, the very cool air and the bright sunshine will drive you crazy. You will enjoy the fresh air, while sipping a cup of coffee and watching the passers by while sitting on the bench. It's just exceptional. I'll recommend going to this main happening place as there are a lot of restaurants and small shops... 更多
A great selection of old colonial buildings and a place with bags of atmosphere, ponies to hire, people to see, and a bookshop second to none. Certainly the centre for exploring the town. Get a hotel off the square if you can, its worth be close.
Great location however could be better maintained. The view over the valley is spoiled by tin-sheds and wires. Good thing is not traffic is allowed so can walk freely. However, not much to do there.
Describing Chowrasta or the Darjeeling Mall, makes me think of Fondue. A large clean pot, smoking on a hot plate/burner, with little divergent and variant pieces of cheese or chocolate, melt and fix together, hugging each other to create a gastronomic chemical equation! The chowrasta too brings together a host of cultures including the locals and tourist from all over... 更多

We found this area has quite a few things to see around it such as a great temple and outdoor markets. The square at the centre of this area has a drop on both sides. On one side you have the green valleys and on the other the town. In the square there are a few quaint old shops, but... 更多
