This dam is controlling the water of Akbini river.The dam is surrounded by small greenery areas which are perfect for picnic.Sunset and sunrise views at the dam was just fabulous.
We recently went to see this dam on our way to orange county kabini.Earlier we had seen in full flow when all the gates were open.But now since there was no water the dam was dry but still back waters were there.What a contrast with full flow and no flow
If you are in Mysore for 2~3 days, then visit this place and you can spend half day here. Its a scenic spot with gushing waters in rainy season
i spend my childhood days 3 years in this place it was awesome. now because of the bad maintenance of the engineering department its not attractive ..but if you love dam you can visit once...
We traveled for an hour from Mysore to a place called 'Hand Post' in bus. From hand post, we took a car which cost us 150 to go to Kabini Dam. No public transportation seems to be available here to go to the dam The dam was closed to public and the security personnel asked us to get in sideways... 更多
