All Polonnaruwa is very interesting and worth the visit, actually the ticket is a bit expensive but you'll get also a visit to the museum and a DVD to bring home. This also helps a lot "westerns" to understand that there are thousands of years of history anywhere... Hope to get back!
This is a well respected place by Buddhists in Sri Lanka.Since roads are developed the traffic is more.There could be some difficulties during extreme weather conditions,such as floods during rainy season and warmness in dry season.However facilities are being improved with developed road network.Most of the Buddhists believe in miracles in this Holy place.It's a different experience to travel here... 更多

It's nice to see. The best options to visit the area is with driver, or if you stay in Polonnaruwa you can rent a bicycle. 2-3 hours is enough for visiting. Entrance was 25 USD. All of monuments which are written on Unesco list cost 25 USD.

Since we started these road trips, our family always wanted to visit this place for it's history and it's legend.
