8.VES舞 VES Dance... 更多
Beautiful showcasing of Sri Lanka Culture through this dance performance and skit... It is a one hour performance which also include a fire dance which is great to watch.
We found the dance quite interesting! The dancers seem to really enjoy what they are doing and are proud of it, they should be! Although it's not a super professional presentation it was good enough and worth the visit. You see a lot if different dances with different rithms and clothes. The clothes are very cool and traditional. The drums... 更多
There are 3 places near the tooth temple, where the cultural show happens at 5pm. All of them have a similar format and ticket charge ( LKR1000). The dancers are good but does lack the coordination at times. Music is interesting. A leaflet listing the dances are given. The show goes on for 1 hour and there is a good... 更多
It was awesome to see this cultural show comprising of well coordinated traditional Sri Lanka dancing art being kept alive. Must see when in Kandy. Each Dance was very well explained for Tourists to get its basic insight. Enjoyable experience
When in Kandy a trip to a Kandyan Dance performance is a must do. After all, when else are you likely to do it? We went to the Kandyan Cultural Centre near the Temple of the Tooth - our guide explained this was the best place to see the dancing. The performance had about a dozen different dances with a... 更多
The so called cultural show consists of 10 dances and a piece of paper with a brief explanation of their meaning. Several of the dancers are good with the rest just mediocre. The show ends with "coal dancers" running across the flames outside of the building. The show is ok, but definitely lacks explanation, sufficient cultural context, and interaction with... 更多
This is an impressive display of local dance and music, staged in what has been an old theatre and running for one hour. The music (which is mostly drumming) is at times excessively loud, but quite good to listen to and the dancing is entertaining and very energetic. The room is quite hot, there is some smoke at one point... 更多
The dances are ok, and the traditional clothes are good to see, but the performance is done by very young dancers and they charge as if was a professional event. When we went to watch it one of the performers dropped his fire stick and it went right under the stage curtain starting to burn it. Luckily he reacted quickly... 更多
This review is specifically for the show at the Oak Ray Hotel. We were taken here by our driver and with a short visit to the gem museum opposite before the show. Avoid the gem “museum” – hard sell tourist trap. The dance show was average – it takes place in some sort of hot stuffy conference room at the... 更多
Very much a tourist thing but a nice way to pass and hour before dinner, I recommend it and am glad we went. The costumes were colourful and there were a few of the dancers that were very engaging. I would recommend they smile more though to engage the crowd. Only £5 or $8 so reasonable though I wouldn't pay... 更多
The performance was very nice. You get to know more about the traditional srilanakan dance. Not all dances were up to par but the walk on fire was nice and the performers were very friendly and we too some nice shots with them before we left. The place is very good but does not give justice to the performance as... 更多
Need to get there 30-45min early to get good seats as hall was packed out. Show lasted about an hour and the fire walking bit seemed a little dangerous given we were crammed in with 300+ people in a wooden hall with a wooden stage but I guess they do this every day and know what they are doing.
