It's one of the most unusual monasteries. It's a fortress surrounded by an apple tree plantation and is very peaceful. It is the tallest monastery in Bucovina.
A quiet place...hidden enough...away from the rumour of the city...very old monastery...beautiful garden...it worth to spend some minutes regarding the sky and talkng with God
This monastery looks like a citadel. It is the tallest one in Bucovina. It is built from stones and looks very impressive - like a big ship! It is not one of the oldest from the monasteries in Bucovina, but no less impressive. It is a must in the monastery tour! It's crazy when you think it is 42m high... 更多
From all the monasteries in Bucovina this one is my favorite. It is a place to rest your soul and find peace. Everything about this monastery is impressive, the size, architecture, the protective wall with the towers. The monastery has also a museum. I was in Bucovina before, but always I only visited the well known monasteries, and omitted this... 更多
A wonderful stop if you have a car, this monastery is truly a convent. The nuns are mainly kind and chatted with us, the wishing well was a hit with my kids as it actually brought up potable water, the church is a gem, the rituals of the monastery were intriguing to watch, and there was plenty to do for... 更多
Our first on a day tour around the painted monasteries was charming and peaceful. The interior was lovingly cared for. Built in 1609 it is in a lovely setting in the countryside. Dragomirna is the tallest church in Moldavia. Exquisite and intricate carvings on the church tower. Not as well known as some others but shouldn't be missed.
Stunning! Something very special about this place just grabs you by the throat and all you want is to sit and stare at it! Couldn't put myself together to walk away...
The Dragomirna monastery is surrounded by a beautiful forest, a lake and an apple tree plantation, the access to it being made on a picturesque, long rocky alley. It's the tallest monastery in Romania, not painted outside (not any more, after the fire), but with an elaborate applique in "warm" stone, especially at the roof. Thus it looks simpler and... 更多
Dragomirna was an excellent stop. Not too far from Suceava and in great condition. The murals on the inside are in great condition and the ground are very nice. Like all monasteries in the area, the admission fee is 5 lei and a photography charge of 10 lei.
