The fact that many famous movies were made here would be of interest to people but Universal Studios it ain't. It is dusty, most of the old sets are just falling apart and the guide was more interested in telling us about being an extra in Gladiator than giving any useful information. He then demanded tips - grrrrr! There are... 更多
The receptionist only seemed to speak Arabic and possibly French. No written information or poster translated in English and so was a tad frustrating trying to find out more. There are two different studios to visit. We eventually figured out that the most interesting one; Atlas Cooperation Studios, consisted of various props and sets from films such as Gladiator, Game... 更多
If you are expecting high tech swish Hollywood style studio tours don't go! This is low key, if you want to actually walk around and touch real film sets and listen to an interesting local guide, go for it. Pretty good value for money, and gives you an insight into North Africa's film industry. Well worth combining with a visit... 更多
Heard a few times about the movie industry in Ouarzazate and gave it a chance. The visit took about 50 minutes, my god this was a boring place. Old and dilapidated props, sometimes even laughable, eg the cartonboard cars. The included guide, wow, included ? in Morocco ?, was a charming man. Saw Universal and MGM...that's comparing gold with lead.
The guide took us around the place and showed us the different sets for the different Movies ! it does look old and not well maintained but still very interesting . Just try not to go there during the summer ! the heat is unbelievable.
The reviews here are mixed and after having been through the studio backlots I can understand why. However, I'm a movie buff and enjoyed walking through the various sets and hearing about the movies shot in and around there both for film and television, Gladiator, The Way Back and The Red Tent to name a few. There's the airplane from... 更多
We were there with friends and family. Had to wait by the pool while more people gathered to start a tour. The studio is nice and the tour not too expensive but overall it is nothing special. You receive a couple of information of the props and what movies were shot there and expect some walk under the sun.
Many great films have been shot in Morocco. The film studio was just a bunch of old ready to fall apart props. The guide was bored and just pointed out some movie facts. Normally a visit here is combined with going to Ait Bed Haddou. Spend more time here, and avoid the movie props.
