Going to the Cedars of Lebanon is a visit in time to a forest that dates over 6000 years old. It's small compared to other sites but that'd what left of the cedar of lebanon mentioned in the bible... great to go with family and kids. A lot of souvenir shops around.
It has always been a dream to see the Cedars of Lebanon. The park is simply stunning. There is a choice of a short walk or longer through the park with it's majestic Cedar trees. This forest is really beautifully, very well maintained and there is a nice path to let you go around. The walking time is around 2 hours if you want to enjoy the amazing view over the mountains and the ancient threes all around you. If you like the nature you cannot stop to take a picture of every corner.
Cedars of God is one of the best places to walk and enjoy the fresh air in the highest mountains in Lebanon. Beautiful, if small, stand of majestic cedars on top of the mountain. Still with snow on the ground in place, so one trail closed. Speak to Hilal who runs the fruit and nut shop across the road, and his neighbour Nana who sells cedar wood products - both super friendly, selling good products at fair prices.
