If pressed for time I wouldnt bother going inside as it is more spectactular from the outside, there is only around 3-4 rooms open and they are not that great. The jail cells are the royal camber are the highlights. We went with a guide who explained all the history for us, recommended if you do the same as there... 更多
If you have a travel guide, you will hear a story behind this. Otherwise I would recommend you find out its historical background. It's a quick tour, part of the history of Bukhara.
Interesting place to see if you have read much about the Great Game. I recommend reading Peter Hopkirk's "The Great Game" for a good overview of this bit of history. Conolly, one of the officers who died in this prison, coined the term Great Game.
