This temple located not far from the Historical park; within walking distance. What I love about this temple is it's in the middle of water, make it like an island.
On our bike ride to the Historical Park, we cycled pass this place. It is not big but nevertheless peaceful and lovely.

The only thing notable about Traphang Thong is its island location. Considering its proximity to the park and museum it is a very quiet and peaceful to walk for a few minutes and laugh at the cheesy translated aphorisms. The old teak bridge is very nice indeed.
We stopped for lunch in Sukhothai and stumbled upon this small temple in the middle of the lake. There is a walkway bridge to the temple. Although you cannot enter the temple, since it is a monastery. You can walk the picturesque grounds and admire the ancient Stupa, as well as see the monks at work.

It is the only one of the ancient temples within the old city walls that is still in active use. The remaining original structure is a large bell shaped chedi.... 更多
