Ashok shilalekh is located on the way to mount girnar more than century old this monument is visible from road itself u just need to get down from your vehicle n u will see it nothing extra ordinary but worth visit as u don't see something written on the rock so often
Nothing to see except a small rock with Ashokan scriptures engraved on it. Can visit only if u have enough time in hand after visiting the major tourist attractions of Junagadh.
this place is related to king ashoka.this place really need some maintainance.i am not much intrested in this type history but my some friends liked it.
This place in Junagad is not to be missed at any cost. One can see inscriptions done by Emperor Ashoka. However it remains in an sorry state at the slab above it has give way and the stone is open to the furies of nature. Seems that even Archaeological Survey Of India are not interested in taking care of it.
Edict is called Shilalekh in Gujarati means this is Edict of Ashok, the great Monarch of Maurya dynasty. This is a major rock edicts of Ashoka outside junagadh City. A place for lovers of history.
