Museum is close every Wednesday and also everyday from 13:45 to 14:45 is lunch time And very Chip ticket price and it's good place. On exhibit there are old silver items, Furniture, Glass utensils, Coins collection and Darbar hall with stuffed leopard
It is unfortunate that we do not value our heritage... Instead of maintaining it's grandiosity it is in the pits...the last Prince lives in Pakistan as was told by the guards...such a grand collection of elephants seats in pure silver..now full of dust and morano glass items etc etc , hunting equipment , jewellery coins etc.

The place is closed on Wednesdays and I ended up being there on a Wednesday. So jjust took some snaps of the building itself which is pretty impressive. Wednesdays and every 2nd and 4th Saturday and public holidays the place is closed.
We visited Junagadh for the architecture and religious sites but I'm glad we stopped at the museum. It was extremely busy and noisy when we visited and rather difficult to see many of the displays, but what we did see made the experience worthwhile. The durbar hall was breathtaking. It's dusty,everything needs cleaning especially the glass in the cabinets which is quite filthy but it has some very worthwhile items to view. Good weapon collection, carved furniture, silver items and stunning silver Howdahs.
