I love fontainhas, it's a must to visit when you are in goa, it's quaint, I love the streets the houses the shops , everything! A must see for sure.
Goa is so much more than Baga and Anjuna, Curlies and Brittos. This time I saw another side to goa, Mario miranda's painting exhibition, the old portugese quarter and quiet, green and clean roads of south goa, with palm trees all around. Fontainhas is the old quarter of goa, with colourful portugese houses, museums and awesome restaurants. check it out.
The only Latin quarter in Asia - it is really nice to walk around the area and take in all the old buildings. Find a quiet place for a cup of coffee and watch the world go by....perfect...
It feels like one has entered a Portuguese place. The architecture of the houses is worth having a look. It is located on a hill. The view from the hill of the coast looks amazing.
