What a wonderful place to spend a beautiful day! Who cares whether the flowers are in bloom? Everyone enjoys a nice place to walk and to talk with friends.
Gardens are very well kept and the facility was extremely nice. Entire grounds are open and include excellent sculptures among the gardens. Inside facilities are just as nice and gift shop has some very unique items.
We went to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and it's true: it's completely free to just walk in stroll around. Truly a wonderful find for a city setting. Parking is ample and free, and with 67 acres, there's just so much to see. Since we now live nearby, we stayed only a while and plan to return from time to time... 更多
Visitors to Birmingham are consistently surprised by the Botanical Gardens, which are technically located in the adjacent City of Mountain Brook. Admission is free, and it is open from early in the morning until sunset, 365 days a year. The variety of plants and trails is fantastic, ranging from a Japanese Garden (complete with ponds filled with koi, the large... 更多
I'm not a connoisseur of botanical gardens, so I don't know how it compares to others, but it's FREE and so easy to just drop in for a little while. I bring my granddaughter who thinks it's a big playground. (Apologies to garden aficionados!) But it is beautiful with distinctive gardens (rose, Southern, Japanese). There are lots of benches and... 更多
We've been to some exceptional Botanical gardens. This however did not meet my expectations. The flowers seemed to need some TLC. it may be better during other times of the year, depending on what is blooming. It is free, which is good, but it was filled with people playing Pokemon which was a bit overwhelming.
My husband and I took our baby to walk around the park recently - our first visit - and I'm kicking myself for not having gone out there before now! The place wasn't the easiest to find (we're not local Birmingham people though), but there's plenty of parking. Leaf and Petal right up at the front as well as a... 更多
Wow! What picturesque gardens! Clean with little touches of beauty among all the glorious plants! Butterflies, damselflies, bees, and dragonflies just enhanced the charming scenes especially the water lily ponds. There are many places to stroll or sit and swing. The Pokemon hunting is great too!
