I love going to Água Branca Park on weekdays. Weekends are too crowded, though. You can walk around, read a book, drink coconut water or simply watch the trees and birds. Wish I could live closer, so I could go more often.
"Parque da Água Branca" is a nice public space in the heart of São Paulo. Access is very easy, through bus or subway (the latter will require a half-mile/800m walk across not-so-beautiful places). It's a beautiful park, the chickens, ducks, cats and others animals run free around the park. There you can have an organic breakfast (I'm not sure if it's opens every day) and go to the organic market inside (it opens thursdays, saturdays and sundays). They have cultural program for kids, and have a library inside the park too.
Nice place for jogging and it's a safe place for children. There are also programs for kids or markets on weekends and you can find a lovely little place to eat pão de queijo and other Brasilian food. All kinds of small animals live there which makes the park look like a miniature zoo at some parts.
Nice place if you are around, to spend with kids and family, take a short walk, and think about nothing in this park in the middle of buildings.
