Estação da Luz as it's known in Portuguese is a beautiful old world train station that is still in use. There isn't a whole lot to do other than just walk through and look at it, but it's worth stopping and taking a picture, particularly if your on your way to Pinacoteca.
Very nice construction. The station was built in the late 19th century. In the first decades of the 20th century, it was the main entrance to the city, a fact that gave it a major economic relevance, because the majority of the coffee from Santos was delivered in the station. The building was finished in 1901. The materials for the construction... 更多
A cool old train station. In my opinion, it's not a destination in and of itself, though it's worth checking out. The Museum of the Portuguese Language is here (on the side facing the Pinocateca) but it was closed when I was there. As noted, the neighborhood is sketchy, but it's plenty safe to take the train here and then... 更多
I recommend to visit this place between 10am and 2pm, and after 09pm until midnight, because in the other times there's too much people using the public transportation for work and to go home. So, it's possible to have some problems with thefts, crowded places and too much noise.
We went there to see this station but if you want to see inside place you need to buy ticket for train and you can roam.we saw it from outside because we wanted to Rua 25 and muncipal market which is just 10-15 min far from this place
I went there and I kind of liked the station and the history of it. But I feel the neighborhood around the station is not safe. Please be watchful if you around the place if you go solo.
Luz It's a great place for visit the pinacoteca museum or for doing some shopping! Never walking with your mobile phone in your hands! If... 更多

This station is acessible through the subway (Luz station on blue and yellow lanes) and provides access to the old downtown in Sao Paulo. You would like to avoid it in rush hours during the weekdays since there are too many people during these hours. Another problem in the region is due to the urban violence, many robberies are reported... 更多

This railway station hold so much history as it was one of the coffee beans depot before the coffee beans were taken to Santos for international exports. A great place... 更多
