It´s a beautiful 50s building within Mata Atlantica. It has Burle Marx gardens. It´s been house of the embassador Walter Moreira Sales and now it´s na art museum that additionally administrates its private collection. There is also a small bistrô and a art bookstore.
We saw a exhibit of contemporary photographer with 4 different views of Brasil. The institute is located in a previous private residence which itself is very interesting from an architectural point of view.
The stylish mansion from the 1950s has become a wonderful cultural center. It is more than worth taking some hours to visit - there is always a couple of good exhibits - and even having lunch there. It is all beautiful.

The place is the house where Moreira Salles Family lived. Everything is so well maintained... the gardens, the rooms. And you can have a coffee in a delicious cafeteria.
