The village of Dois Rios is almost like a ghost town, with very few residents and quite a few houses taken back by nature. It is very interesting in its own way and all the residents we chatted with were very helpful. Recommended.
Definetly a must see in the island. Don't let the walking distance change your mind. The village itself seems abandoned but the beach is wonderful, specialy on both ends of it. Hiring a mountain bike is a good choice to reach Dois Rios more quickly but get prepared for a 4km ramp up.

amazing beach, great for an overnight camp. easy 2 hour hike to get there, only a dozen people on the beach the day we were there and its over 1km long so loads of room. lovely sheltered bay. a must for a trip to ilha grande
