We had been told this bridge was dangerous, structurally and criminally, and that it would be best to just cross the border by city bus. Nice experience coming from Brazil to its neighbour country Paraguay! Its a pity the renovation makes the view a little bit disrupted. But it was nice to visit both countries; the nature is really unbelievable! The place is a must to go. It is an opportunity to visit two countries simultaneously!
After crossing the bridge on foot which was a nice experience (although too hot one - at the time of crossing it was 39 C!) I wanted to see it from the river. Next day we took a boat tour and we could admire this structure passing under it. Pretty impressive. And much more refreshing!
We had a spare hour or so before our flight back to Rio and we took a taxi down to the crossing point so we could walk over the bridge, and even down on the Brazil side it was like a different world. We walked across had a little walk around Paraguay and walked back. Wished we had more time
